Always on the lookout for creative forms of expression, writing music turned out to be an essential part ofLiz’ life. After studying landscape architecture and being involved in several music projects, Vienna-based songwriter, guitarist and singer Maria Elisabeth Thornton started her solo-project Liz Metta. For Liz, music is both the result and an essential part of the process in finding her own identity. Therefore, she has taken an intuitive approach to music. In blending stylistic elements of dream pop, modern psychedelia, indie soul and alternative rock with guitar-based songwriting, Liz creates a world of sound in which listeners can immerse themselves in a self-forgotten way.
