It’s on the streets and subsequently the road Sam found his second home. Touring the last couple of years has become a welcome routine. Appearances at some of Europe’s biggest festivals (Nova Rock, Mighty Sounds, SBÄM Fest) a welcome surprise. But it’s the hardworking DIY ethos maturing from seeds of influence in Punk Rock music and its scene, which has ultimately led to the busker’s steady rise.

Describing his sound as “Disarming folky jams from the Cornish coast served with a side of punk”, the release of 2017’s ‘Skeletons’ alludes to that statement. A debut album release in autumn 2019 will no doubt represent the evolution from uninspired, mediocre, occasional political rambler and songwriter, to one of Austria’s most hardworking and well-received solo artists.

Matt Charette (US)
Matt Charette has been a known face in the Boston punk scene for years. Known commonly within the scene as Matt the Barber, he lends his unique perspective and talents across the scene. Playing mandolin and accordion with friends and Boston punk stalwarts such as Lenny Lashley and the Street Dogs- he pulls from a diverse sense of what encompasses the pulse of music from his town. Today, his most recent project, Matt Charette and the Truer Sound plays country tunes forged in the fires of punk blasted from his youth. Bringing soulful and gritty vocals to sounds of the street that has been cooled and refined overtime. Alt Country powerhouse in the land of punk rock legends, Matt brings catchy hooks and solemn ballads to a musical scape all his own- Bryan McQuaid (singer/songwriter Pittsburgh PA)
